"The Nest"
Directed by Marcia Haufrecht
Written by the German playwrite, Franz Xaver Kroetz, and directed by the Actor's Studio's Marcia Haufrecht. This 2 character play deals with the struggles of a young middle class couple as they are awakened from a life of blind acceptance and complacency when a tragedy befalls their family.
Chris plays "Kurt", a truck driver who finds himself unknowingly asked to compromise his values and the lives of his new family.
The play was performed at the Mint Theater in New York City this past summer.
Chris appears as "The Guy", a mathematician who is attempting speed-dating for the 11th time, in the comedy "Hurry" by Bridget Carpenter, - ‘speed dating for finicky urban professionals’ - and the combustible and zany encounters one could easily imagine from such a desperate endeavor - until a surprising and sad fact is revealed from the woman’s past, which gives the whole proceeding a surprising depth.

"A Bright Room Called Day"
directed by Stephan Morrow
Taking place from 1932 - 33 in Berlin, it covers the period of the rise of the Nazis and the demise of democracy, culminating with the Reichstag fire. From then on, civil liberties were crushed, the Communist party outlawed, and the first concentration camps set up. Six friends - bohemians, artists, Marxists, try to save their souls, and their lives during this tumultuous time. When first presented twenty years ago, during the Regan years, it seemed to some far fetched to compare that period to today, but now, in the uneasy times in which we live, when there is widespread concern about civil liberties, wiretapping, foreign invasion, it has morphed into nothing less than a stunning tribute to Kushner’s prescience, with the Weimar Republic standing as a frighteningly accurate metaphor for the state of things today.
Director Stephan Morrow has reassembled some of the members of the original N.Y. cast together with other seasoned N.Y. stage actors, and Living Theater icon Judith Malina. Not seen professionally in N.Y. for over fifteen years, the play is growing more relevant with each passing day. Come join us for an evening of theater that is both powerful and extraordinarily relevant.
The Cast includes Judith Malina, Joan MacIntosh, Angelica Torn, Henry Stram, Larry Block, Anya Migdal, Alexandra Eitel, Chris Kerson, Jody Carter, Jason Howard and Hanon Reznikov.

A trip to Purgatory morphed into Palm Springs of the 50’s where denizens of the film colony go about their trials and tribulations. A down and out film director who is short on cash and long on integrity falls in love with a Carmen, but one who is full of hurts. She goes off with an edgy but younger character who is not above setting up men with women for a price - but when her ex-lover director saves her from the brink of suicide, they end up settling down to a less than satisfying luxurious suburban life-style. They argue, he suffers a heart attack and dies. So goes life in the film capital. Or Purgatory - as the souls therein look for their salvation. Hard-ball, hard-core Hollywood of the fifties - a stand-in for all the towns in all the world….

Dear Friends,
There's 3-weeks left with the final show being April 3rd.
You can read a glowing initial review from Martin Denton, (click here), Pieces of Paradise - Four by Tennessee, or stories about the theater (see attachment NY Daily News Article), or as recently covered by renowned theater critic, Jerry Tallmer, which talks about the significance of these pieces and of the significance of The 13th Street Rep., (click here) Tennessee to the rescue of 13th Street Rep.
And for the final 3-weeks stepping in to play the young boxer in "The Palooka", will be the very talented Dan Simon of the Rodger Hendricks Simon Studio.
Thanks,
-- Chris

I play Alan Ritter, a real estate agent who was the one-time best friend of Jack, our protagonist. Their realtionship is estranged as Jack slips into depression and continuous misfortune. Eventually, Jack pushes Alan away and then later tries to reconcile the relationship.
The film will be submitted to Festivals in September-October 2008.
Also had a lead in Ron Massucci's "2 Star State of Mind", a Independent feature in which I play Brian, a co-worker of our protagonist, Steve, who feigns an English accent to get ahead in life, and eventually romances away Steve's girlfriend -- a white collar bad guy in a very unique film. It is being produced by "Good Bye Blue Monday Productions"
